If you have any questions about this specific tutorial, just post on the thread. If you have questions about web or graphic design in general, feel free to ask any questions (newb questions or difficult ones!) in the web designer forums. This tutorial is sponsored by the Xemion Web Designer Directory. Step 1 Start out with a picture you want to stitch, this effect works well on any body part. In this tutorial, I'm going to use a picture of a hand. ![]() Step 2 Create a new layer and apply this layer style settings. Note: The image I used for the pattern in stroke came with Photoshop 7.0. Click here to download the pattern pack if you don't have it.
Step 3 Set the foreground color to #4D1700 then select the brush tool and set the size to 2 px with a hard tip. ![]() Step 4 Now all you have to do is paint lines with the brush tool and it will render into stitches. ![]() ![]() Last edited by Xemion : December 5, 2006 at 12:57 PM.

Wow that is an interesting tutorial... What ever inspired you to make that? It looks pretty easy to do anyways. I would rate the tutorial a 4/10 just because it is pretty short. Still good though.

Nice tutorial, in fact a few I've seen up here are giving me the urge to get back into game modelling.
I used to play around with DarkBasic, a very simple language with DirectX support allowing you to build your own 3D games relatively easily. It wasn't great and didn't like high polygon models, but it was an amazing thing to be able to do. Thanks for the tutorial, I think 4 was a bit harsh, gets a 9 from me ![]() |

Sweet stuff, I like it, I sense a lot of Frankenstein-like pictures being fiddled with in the coming days. :P I'll probably use this is some horror/death metal band shots in later days, thanks for the great tutorial!

Download fixed. I don't think there would be any real changes to do it in Photoshop CS2 - do you have a more specific question about CS2, Drummer?

What program do you use to make your graphics? I'm at a loss as to what is the best? I think this is great and I found it just in time to do some creepy Halloween graphics! My 7 (almost 8) year old will LOVE this stuff! Thanks for the info! I wouldn't be able to do it without your tutorial!
