A quick and simple technique for adding realistic blood spills on your text and logo. All you have to do is edit text style settings. In this tutorial, I'm using Eurostile Font, Bold, 36 pt size and Crisp anti-aliasing method.

Step 1: Write your text



Step 2: Go to Layer > Layer Style > Bevel and Emboss. Apply this settings:



Step 3: Go to Layer > Layer Style > Satin. Apply this settings:



To get the results you want with a different font, sizing, colors etc play around with the settings.
