I have heard that getting links from content or article pages are given more value by search engines as compared to link pages, even if they have a low or no PR.
Can anybody tell me what is the actul story abut this

If you have a new site which of the following is better for a back-link.

A home page that has a PR6 but the page your link is on is a PR0.

A home page that has a PR2 but the page your link is on is a PR2. Not the home page.

Both of them are related to the site.

Your site will only get a pr 6 back link if your site has a link on the home page, otherwise it would be pr 0. It all depends on what page your site has link with.

I found the google has been updated very recently about 2-3 days before from today, After updating the Page Rank of my website www.tendernews.com has been down to 2 from 3 earlier, whereas it has been showing more backlinks 185 from 141. I don’t know why its happened I don’t know. Look on some possibilities that cause it got such effects…

Black hat seo techniques
Link building from low valued pages
Content theft from other sites (spamdexing)
Linking from penalized sites

If the above are the possibilities causes then I am sure about that these is not been worked to slashing my website homepage PR. I neither did black hat tenchniques nor I collected links from low valued directories.

I used blogging for linking Tehdernews.com . http://tendernews.wordpress.com is my lonely blog, whenever you check backlink link:www.tendernews.com , you got the half of its recognized backlinks are from wordpress blog.

Collecting a lot of links from blogs i.e. wordpress blog , is harmful?

I just got a pr 2 from a recent pr 1. I think that Google is updating our site by the age of the domain and how many dofollow links are pointing to it.

We suggest to write as much as you can press releases. We tried to compare link market and press releases and the result from press was much better.
