If you want to choose a good language to start learning I'd recommend start with html 4.01, css, and PHP / MySQL. You will just be wasting your time learning visual basic. If your going to learn a microsoft language start with C# it is a way more powerful language. I love PHP because it is easy to learn, simple to use, easy to reuse, and runs on Linux hosting which is faster and more reliable Cheers.

I would advise you get one or two books.

Books are much better than online tutorials IMO, I learnt visual basic from scratch using a beginner book followed by an expert book and now can make almost anything possible with VB in VB.
