I wanted to create a fairly simple site of only a few pages for a friend. It is rapidly turning into a nightmare because of CSS.

I only wanted to use CSS for a drop down hover menu. I have had to compromise the design because I cannot get the buttons to fit exactly in both IE and Firefox. All sorts of weird things happen. Perhaps the CSS I have used is just too complicated.

The annoying thing is that having got the design together I was about to start adding the text to the pages. The first page I had trouble with was the Dates & Prices page:

http://www.hub-uk.com/relish/pages/dates&prices.htm

Firstly there is no space between the paragraphs and whilst I suspect my CSS is affecting it I don’t know how and then when I went to indent it using <blockquote> it does not happen.

The home page is http://www.hub-uk.com/relish/index.html

It seems most HTML commands are not working.

When I finally started implement the redesign of Recipes, recipies, cookery, good food, gourmet cooking (for reasons I won’t go into now) I went with a traditional table layout just using CSS to make the menu work. That is a vertical one and I don’t have the same problem.

Can anyone help or point me in the right direction?

There no longer seems to be the number of experts around on the internet anymore to give advice at times like this. Where did they all go or did they just get bored and fed up helping us idiots?

I'm an expert and I'd be happy to help you, but your pages are resulting in 404 errors right now.

If you are still needing some help or more information I am sure a few of us can help but the site was giving me an error as well to see.

I know the feeling! I have tried to use CSS time after time and about half way through the project things will just drop off a cliff per say. Everything will look great and then all of a sudden WHAM I have done something wrong and everything looks horrible! Nothing EVER aligns how I want it regardless of the CSS I use. I need expert training on this and can't afford it LOL. Best wishes!
